Good to Know
Why Everest Three Pass Trek?
The Three Pass Trek is challenging and adventurous in the Mount Everest Region. It covers three high passes above 5000m. Every trek higher than 5000m is challenging and has fewer facilities than a lower one. This is due to altitude. Trekkers with high-altitude trekking experience can complete three high passes. The trek gives you more satisfaction with details of the Everest Region, Picturesque villages, the lifestyle of higher-altitude people, and more.
Accommodation and Meals
As we ascend, the accommodation will become basic. Luxury hotel accommodations are available in Lukla, Phakding, Namche, Gokyo, Pheriche, and other places where the tourist flow is higher. As the altitude increases, the services and luxuries gradually decrease due to the high altitude. There are twin-sharing rooms with basic meals, a common restroom, sometimes frozen restrooms due to cold, a lack of hot showers, and many other compromising services at high altitudes. Basic meals like Tea/Coffee, Rice (Bhat), lentil soup (dal), vegetable curry (tarkari), and Pickels are available in high and remote villages where some varieties like Pizza, Momos, Thupka and other delicious items are available in lower regions.
Altitude Sickness and Preventive Methods
As we trek to high Himalayan land, We may feel some difficulty in breathing, vomiting, dizziness, and sometimes more dryness. All these symptoms are high altitude symptoms. If you feel uneasy, You have to descend to a lower altitude to acclimatize in a high-altitude. This is due to low local atmosphere adaptation. So proper acclimatization is required for a pass trek in the Everest Region. The trekking agency should be always aware and careful while operating any high-pass trekking in Nepal. On proper acclimatization day, a well-known, responsible Guide should be there. While going at high altitude, You should avoid smoking, avoid Alcohol, and take 2-3 liters of water even if you do not feel thrust.
