The Everest Base Camp via Gokyo Lake trek is a legendary trek in the Everest Region of Nepal with includes the longest Pass “Cho-La Pass with an altitude of 5420m from Sea level”. This trek takes through the charming Sherpa village from Namche to Phrotse and Machhermo and finally to majestic Gokyo Lake. 1hour hike from Gokyo Lake to Gokyo-Ri viewpoint leads to the most stunning mountain views of the World’s highest peaks like Mount Everest, Mount Nuptse, Mount Lhotse, Mount Makalu, and Mount Cho Oyu. The trek can be done at Everest Base Camp following Gokyo as well as at Gokyo Lake following Everest Base Camp. Permits and Regulations
While trekking to every Everest Region Trek, a Sagarmatha National Park Permit and Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit are necessary. You can take a Sagarmatha National Park permit at the end of Manjo Village. The permit costs NPR 3000 per person for foreign passport holders, NPR 1500 per person for SAARC countries, and NPR 100 per person for Nepali trekkers. Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit cost NPR 2000 per person for all trekkers. Also, the Trekkers' Information Management System (TIMS) needs NPR 3000 per person for FOreigner and NPR 1000 per person for Indian Passport holders. Throughout the whole trip, The loud sounds of any musical instrument are strictly prohibited.
