Itinerary Flexibility and Route

The Everest Base Camp trek, in conjunction with Gokyo Lake via Chola Pass, presents a challenging expedition that traverses both Gokyo Valley and Everest Base Camp. The itinerary can be tailored to accommodate individual preferences and requirements. Participants may embark on the trek either from Everest Base Camp towards Gokyo Lake or in the reverse order. Whichever route is selected, trekkers will have the opportunity to appreciate the remarkable landscapes and key attractions along the journey. Additional costs will apply to those wishing to extend their exploration of the Everest region.

Permits and Regulations

While trekking to every Everest Region Trek, a Sagarmatha National Park Permit and Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit are necessary. You can take a Sagarmatha National Park permit at the end of Manjo Village. The permit costs NPR 3000 per person for foreign passport holders, NPR 1500 per person for SAARC countries, and NPR 100 per person for Nepali trekkers. Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit cost NPR 2000 per person for all trekkers. Also, the Trekkers' Information Management System (TIMS) needs NPR 3000 per person for FOreigner and NPR 1000 per person for Indian Passport holders. Throughout the whole trip, The loud sounds of any musical instrument are strictly prohibited.
