Boating on Phewa Lake
While imaging the Pokhara City-Our first image comes with Phewa Lake. The Phewa Lake is the trademark of Pokhara city. The tour in Pokhara will not be complete without boating on Phewa Lake. The lake is encircled by hills and mountain peaks, and you will see the reflection of the mountains on the clear Phewa Lake. As you walk around Lake Street, many colorful boats are floating on the water waiting for you.
To make your boat ride, take a private boat or a luxury cruise during Sunset. You can start boating from Phewa Gate. During sunset time, you will see the Golden Mountain peaks and the best sunset scene. You can choose a private boat or a private kayaking for your adventure. As per the duration, the cost of the boat differs. You can boat around the lake and add a spiritual touch with a blessing from the Tal Barahi Temple, located in the middle of the Lake.
Descend into the Legend of Davi's Falls
The locally named Patale Chhango (meaning "Underworld Waterfall") is named Davis Falls after an incident in 1961. In 1961, the Swiss Women Bath on Pardi Khola, and suddenly the damp of Phewa Lake increased, and the lady was swept away. In the memory of a Swiss lady, the waterfalls were named after this incident. The Pardi Khola flows with amazing geography, plunges into a deep, rocky gorge, and vanishes underground, creating an extensive tunnel system approximately 500 feet long. The water flow suddenly falls into a gorge, forming waterfalls. Many national and International tourists came here to see these amazing waterfalls. Once it falls into a gorge, the river suddenly disappears, revealing the underground of Gyupteshwor Mahadev cave. Besides the Falls, there is an ancient Nepali Traditional House and a beautiful garden.
Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave: The Hidden God
Just opposite to Davis Falls, you will find Nepal's largest cave- Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave. Entering through the gate with both sides local market, you have to purchase the tickets (NPR 100 for non-Nepali and half of it for Nepali Citizens). With an attractive wall carving, you will enter to cave. The cave has an excess of light, but that may not be enough for you- it is better if you have your own light. After a few walks, Lord Shiva and family encountered. Blessing from Lord Shiva, continue going down through the small cave to the final step. You will hear waterfalls sound that disappear at Davis Falls. The Gupteshwar Mahadev cave offers a powerful blend of geological wonder and deep religious significance.
