Overview
Nepal has its own Char Dham Yatra and most travelers don’t even know it exists. When people hear "Char Dham," they usually think of the pilgrimage in India. But Nepal has four sacred sites of its own known as Pashupat Kshetra, Mukti Kshetra, Ruru Kshetra and Baraha Kshetra. Together they form a pilgrimage that Nepali Hindus have been making for generations.
This 11-day tour visits all four sites. Your journey begins in Kathmandu visiting the famous Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest shrines of Lord Shiva. Next, you head to Muktinath Temple in Mustang, which is a holy place for both Hindus and Buddhists. Next it moves on to Ruru Kshetra near Tansen and then to Baraha Kshetra in eastern Nepal. Each stop has its own history and importance, so it becomes as much a cultural experience as it is a religious one.
The road to Pokhara passes the Manakamana Devi Temple. You will also get a chance to explore the lakes and hills of Pokhara. With private transport, good hotels and all meals organized, the pace is easy so you can focus on the pilgrimage itself. This makes it perfect for families, groups and solo travelers seeking a well-organized spiritual journey.
So, whether you are on this Nepal pilgrimage tour for your personal faith or for discovering its cultural depth, this package covers all that you need. It is dedicated to the natural beauty of the Himalayas and offers something that a typical sightseeing trip cannot.

About Nepal's Char Dham
Many people don’t know that Nepal has its own Char Dham, which is different from the one in India. India’s Char Dham includes Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath, while Nepal’s Char Dham is a combination of four different sacred places that are very dear to Hindus all over the country.
Pashupat Kshetra
It is the home of the Pashupatinath Temple, situated on the banks of the Bagmati River in Kathmandu. It is one of the holiest Hindu temples in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Thousands of devotees visit every year, especially during the Maha Shivaratri.
Mukti Kshetra
Muktinath Temple is located in the Mustang district at an altitude of more than 3,700 meters. The name means ‘place of liberation,' and pilgrims believe that a visit liberates them from the cycle of birth and death. It is also unusual in that it is worshiped by both Hindus and Buddhists.
Ruru Kshetra
The site is located near Ridi in the Palpa district at the confluence of the rivers Kali Gandaki and Ridi Khola. The main attraction here is Rishikesh Temple and the pilgrims do Shraddha of their ancestors at this sacred confluence.
Baraah Kshetra
The place is in the Sunsari district of eastern Nepal, at the meeting point of the Koka and Koshi rivers. The temple is dedicated to the boar incarnation of Lord Vishnu and is visited by devotees from both Nepal and India, particularly on Makar Sankranti.
The four sites together are a pilgrimage steeped in history, mythology and natural beauty—something India’s Char Dham simply cannot replicate.

Detail Itinerary
Your Char Dham Yatra of Nepal begins the moment you set foot at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Upon arrival, a representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. The hotel is approx. 6 km away and the drive will take 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic conditions. The air in Kathmandu, at around 1,400 meters above sea level, is much cooler than in the lower areas.
The rest of the day is free after you have checked in. You can either take a rest after your flight or take a short walk around the neighborhood to get a feel of the city. Kathmandu is a mixture of the old and the new, with most hotels located near narrow lanes, temple courtyards and bustling markets. If you’re staying near Thamel or Durbar Marg, there are plenty of cafes and shops to wander around at your own leisure.
In the evening, your guide will brief you on the days ahead. This is a good time to ask questions about the itinerary, the altitude at Muktinath, or anything else on your mind before the pilgrimage properly begins. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
